Malaysia Boleh or Malaysian Boleh?

It was raining early in the morning. It started around 7 a.m. if i am not mistaken, but i am very sure the rain started before my alarm clock beeped. What a nice weather to sleep...
I woke up, bathed and went to work.
During the journey to work, there was a 70++ chinese lady sitting in front of me.
She was talking on the phone.

These are the things that she said which caught my attention:-

"Wa sit bus setengah!" (I am on the bus, on the way)
"enam belad?" (sixteen?)
"That day wa call lu, lu takda TENG." (That day I called you, but you didn't answer)

Translation:-
wa - I or me in Hokkien
lu - You in Hokkien
setengah - Half or half way in malay
belad - suppose to be belas but she cannot pronounce properly
takda - don't have
TENG - listen or answer in Cantonese

Hahaha!
I can understand what she said!
Malaysian Chinese are often declared as "language genius" as we can speak and understand at least more than 3 languages.

Yin Yang Rice

Before

After

Have you ever cooked brown rice and white rice in the same rice cooker? It was my first time. I like brown rice very much, but my father does not like it. Grandma has to take brown rice as the sugar level is lower compare to white rice. In order to make things easier, I cooked both white rice and brown rice in the same rice cooker, hehehe. But, the brown rice has to be soaked overnight before cooking because brown rice takes more time to cook and it needs more water as well.

Besides brown rice, I also like red bean rice. First, you got to boil the red beans. Just boil it like you normally cook red bean soup. When you see the skin of the red beans start cracking, then put in the rice. (You can boil the red beans in the rice cooker). It is easy, just like cooking normal rice. Just replace plain water with red bean soup. Besides red beans, you can also try fresh corns, barley, green beans...

Dreams ....

Why do we dream?
Have you ever thought of this?
I believe in dreams. For me, it is like giving me predictions of what is going to happen in the near future.
Heard of DREAM DICTIONARY?
I always use Dream Dictionary to interpret my dreams.
Sometimes, it is quite accurate.
Try it!

FLU ...

I was not feeling well yesterday - FLU. Used lots of tissues. Took 2 tablets of Panadol for cold relief, but it didn't work on me. After 6 hours, I took 2 tablets of Panadol Actifast and went to sleep. The next day, I felt much better. Was it because of the Panadol Actifast, or I just need sleep?
Have been working till very late lately. Feeling really tired. One more day to go......

Lunch @ Annalakshmi

Annalakshmi @ Chinatown Point

The main Entrance

With my colleagues

One of the paintings in the restaurant

According to my colleague, ANNALAKSHMI means FOODS from GOD. They are rated as one of the best vegetarian Indian restaurant in Singapore. The best part is, you pay according to how much you feel the food worth.
I normally order North Thali, it comes with Nasi Bryani, Rasem, Raiti, Chappati, and some vegetables with curry. Taste Ichiban!
They serve buffet every Friday. Please make reservations in advance if you are going in a group.
I am feeling very full now. And sleepy too......

Happy Birthday Guys....

Happy Birthday James Wong.
Hope there are a lot of pretty Taiwanese gals celebrate your birthday with you in a special way. May all your dreams come true.

Happy Birthday Rinnel (my colleague).
Bought this cake from Swensens. Hazelnut Bliss. So costly. $33.17 for a small cake.
And they do not provide knife for the cake. Lucky I brought my own knife to office.
Count the candles. He is the youngest in the office.
The wordings was very nice when they showed us in the shop.
But donno y it melted a bit when we reached office.
Maybe they wanted to cover up that they actually spelled wrongly.

Back to normal ...

Me, Ming Yee and Lily

Family dinner on Saturday night at Serdang. It was my cousin Peng Lim birthday. Grandma took this opportunity to gather all of us together to celebrate his birthday.

I am back to Singapore after spending 10 days in KL. It was nice to work from KL, but I still prefer to work in the office instead of home. I started missing office on the second day. I like to spend my time according to my routine. Maybe I am a "ORGANISE" type of person? lol
