According to the STAR: Effective Friday, the service will be extended to users with prepaid mobile phone numbers in the Klang Valley. Postpaid users can start enjoying the facility in two weeks.
But, users need to pay RM25 for switching Service Provider. For prepaid users, better finish all your credits before switching as any remaining credit would not be refunded.
Yay, take away all the hassle of informing friends new number!
ReplyDeleteI will be queueing to switch....
ReplyDeleteThey only provide "100 requests per day" per service provider...
SO everytime you want to switch.. they will tell you... no more quota!
Pete: Yeah, i agree with u.
ReplyDeleteLimcyam: Hope they will increase the quota then.
thanks for the informative post! i'm looking forward it... but i'm just curious to know how this will affect provider packages... but oh well, more competition can only be good for us consumers!
ReplyDeleteAspirin: Ya, cheaper. Good for us!
ReplyDeleteWe have the same service here, it's convenient. The only down side is, when you're calling someone, you simply won't know what network they're on to get cheaper rates.
ReplyDeleteCC: I see. But, at least incoming calls is free in Malaysia. How about ur place? Btw, mind to tell where are u from? :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a Malaysian living in Auckland, New Zealand now.
ReplyDeleteIncoming calls are free here too.
CC: Cool...
ReplyDeleteIncoming calls is more expensive than outgoing calls in Singapore. :(
Well, that makes you think twice before answering a call huh.
ReplyDeleteCC: I have more than $500 of credit. (i m using prepaid). Someone call me pls... I m boring... Let's make 'phone porridge'.
ReplyDeleteHere in Singapore, u only need to pay $28, but u will get $128 of credit.
